We find ourselves slap bang in the middle of eclipse season, I don’t know about you, but for me that brings intensity and big change I feel electrically charged and open (also, anxious and frazzled).
Eclipses are believed to enhance the portal energy of lunar activity. New moons are all about growth and expanding so, manifesting at this time will be more powerful. However the moon goes void of course so wait at least 12 hours to perform any ritual or manifesting.
Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius encourages us to focus on expansion; being brave and bold in chasing our dreams. This is a good time to think about what you want to achieve next year. What will help you achieve your dreams? Sagittarius brings luck and abundance as well as spiritual growth and understanding. As we move out of the cauldron time and closer to Yule and rebirth, we have done a lot of letting go (I feel like the whole year has been about letting go) and transformation; clearing space for positivity and that which will better serve us. This new moon says “what do want that to be/do? What can you ask for that will help you grow and expand? ”
Some people are apprehensive about asking for money as it has to come from somewhere. I believe it is OK to ask for financial aid if the intention is to support growth rather than greed. Perhaps the word abundance would fit better. But, if you feel an injection of money could help you level up your business or improve a situation you’ve been struggling with, then ask for that. Just be sure your intentions are clear and that you mean to use it well.
Likewise, luck can seem like a vague thing to ask for, perhaps opportunity is what you need, the removal of a particular obstacle or a new solution or path. Sagittarius is represented by the centaur. Wise creatures who seek knowledge and divine the future in the stars. The bow and arrow represents the determined path. To steady your aim and pursue a target. Not wildly or blindly but with forethought and precision. This can be applied to our goals: What do you want? What areas of your life would benefit from some luck or abundance? Where do you want to see growth and expansion? Why do you want these things? What do you need to get you there? what do you seek?
If you’re sure of yourself, take a breath and loose that arrow. Send that request out and know what is meant to be for you, will be.
It’s not all about tangible growth and profit though, spiritual growth is equally supported. If you’ve been engaging in shadow work, you may be going through a period of internal transformation (I know I have). This new moon encourages us to look to the positive now, use what you’ve learnt about yourself and push forward. Grow and shine so unapologetically it inspires others to do the same. For example, if you’ve identified a toxic behaviour you don’t want to engage in anymore, focus on what you DO want to be doing. Ask for and create situations to practice your new tools and coping mechanisms. It’s one thing to ask for a leg up it’s another to actually work towards better.
Sagittarius energy is grounded and surefooted (having four feet certainly helps) this can be a positive trait. It can also bring a stubbornness and single mindedness that can blind us to the bigger picture so be sure to align yourself with what is really important to you and your journey and look for subtle synchronicities that guide us. We are all being guided but you have to have your eyes open.
Use your divinations to guide you (I’ll be posting a tarot spread to support you) and aim high. I don’t really do new years resolutions however, we are reaching the tipping point which brings a feeling of potential. Anything could happen next year (just look at this one!) So now is a good time to think and plan with hope. Maybe you have travel dreams, business goals, self love and personal growth aims. Whatever it is, think big, aim high and go for it. Not blindly, but with a determined outcome. A target.

I have been healing generational trauma and finding my way with a new confidence in my self I am practicing having more faith in myself and not engaging with self doubt (if this resonates with you, you might find this piece on confidence vs arrogance useful), taking my own advice and trusting that my hard work will pay off . I don’t know what next year will bring yet but I know I am on the right path.
