Had some new followers recently (THANK YOU!) so I thought I'd re-introduce myself! Hello! Welcome! I'm Kate (known locally as Kate the Goth) I live in achingly beautiful Devon. I started studying and practicing witchcraft when I was 8 after discovering an ancestral connection. Over the years I've been building my practice and knowledge so that I can share it with others as I feel it is my calling. I've always wanted to be a canny women like my ancestors, supporting my community through witchcraft. This dream has become an achievable reality in the last year with the launch of my blog and the support of my Husband and tribe. I had a run in with a toxic journalist (you can read a bit about it in the post 'exploring the labyrinth') which inspired me to use my own voice and from there it just keeps growing. I'm currently focusing on more tangible pieces which I can sell or trade. Ideally I'd like to move from my 'day job' to making a living from my craft full time. I haven't posted anything about this yet as I couldn't find the words. I watch with horror and outrage from the UK and as ever I just can't understand the lack of humanity. It feels like fiction, or rather I want it to be. I do not support racism. I do not support hatred. I do not support oppression. This has to stop. #solidarity

It's a good day for kitchen witchery! Making small batches can be time consuming but I love tailoring recipes to clients specific needs todays makings include: A muscle relaxing bath tea blend with rosemary, comfrey and calendula. A post-work-out warming balm to soothe sore muscles with ginger, comfrey, nettle, plantain and black pepper. And a healing lip balm with dandelion, nettle, plantain and mint. Just got to dry the last layer of these epic smudge sticks, then they'll be up for sale.
